The barbershop has historically been a place of self-care, new and competing ideas, and community.  For an online generation who has lost a physical location for these things, Forum wants to rebuild that relationship. A third place for self-care, culture, and fellowship; hair cuts, coffee, and live music. All personalities. Walk-in’s welcome. No evil bastards.

THE LOGO

Our wordmark represents our vision of an egalitarian place for ideas. Our name is no more important than the words it sits next to and is set simply in Helvetica Now Variable Condensed Bold.
Our subtitling system that allows us to refer to parts of our business, slogans, or people.
Our logomark is inspired by timeless and iconic symbols of culture, community, and humanity

Graphics

Simple hieroglypic forms representing our passions, inspired by cultural relics of literature, art, and graphic communication.

Our photography is often shot quicky, coming from a variety of sources with different lighting and cameras and degrees of photographic proficiency. To create consistency we use a photo collage effect with varying degrees of distress, silhouetting, and layering to create a unique style and make the imagery stylistically consistent over time.
Photography is most often used on social media where you need volume but also to maintain quality so it was important that the effect was not overly time consuming to recreate.
